Helping Support a Gentle, Beautiful, and Positive Experience
I am a small town Midwestern gal with a big heart and an even bigger appreciation for birth. I have been awestruck with labor and delivery for as long as I can remember. I grew up reading every pregnancy book I could get my hands on and watching TLC’s “A Baby Story.” Life has taken me down a few different career paths, but my heart kept pulling me back to this love of childbirth – so here I am.
When invited to journey with someone through their pregnancy and birth, I become a friend, someone to walk beside them and to lean on when needed. I focus on education in evidence-based care and hands-on support. I listen with compassion and an open heart, and treat families with dignity and love.
How I Assist
As your Doula, I promise to provide you and your partner with unwavering care, understanding, information and support throughout, during, and after the birthing process. From our initial meeting all the way through your pregnancy and delivery, I take the time to get to know you, your concerns and your needs. I’m always available to contact by phone/email throughout and will provide everything you require to make sure your experience is as calm and positive as possible.
Our initial meeting will help me tailor my services to fit your needs and pick the best package for you as every pregnancy is different.

I believe that preparation through education and practice is fundamental to having a beautiful and empowering birth and I have seen first hand the value of coaching and mentoring from your doula as it helps ensure you are able to truly understand and apply the information you are learning. Knowledge is power and it is my goal to make sure you have as much knowledge as possible before your labor begins.
I am on-call 24 hours a day starting at 38 weeks until after your birth. During your labor I am in constant and close proximity to you. I will be there to listen without judgment, comfort and encourage you. I provide hands-on support including, but not limited to breathing, relaxation, massage, and laboring positions. All while ensuring the expecting partner has the main support role - my role is never to take the very important place of your partner, but rather to complement and enhance their experience. I will help support your partner by suggesting ways that they can support you and improve your synergy in labor. Together we will create the best birth experience possible.
It is so important that mommas are given the opportunity to process their experience and find ways to appreciate and grow from it. We will connect to process together. I will remind you what a badass you are and laugh (or cry) with you about everything you experienced. I will provide you with a written birth story. This is also a great time to assist you with breastfeeding support, provide you with resources and answer any new questions you may have.
Just as my baby is safe and nurtured by my body, so am I safe and nurtured by those who care for me.
